212 of 365: and YOU get a CAR!
At the moment, I'm not allowed to drive the new Oprah car. They don't have my license on file :( But it's ok, I can still play around in the thing.

...just seethingly mad...
But then, tomorrow came....
211 of 365: Where's my trunk?
I was in a hit and run on my way to work today. Yep, it's the second time I'm posting a car accident on this blog. *shakes head* I leave for work a little after 1am, and instead of going right and getting on the freeway, I go left, onto what is a busy road in the day time, but dead at night, so that I can get gas. End up stopped at a stop light. Guy in the lane over from me notices that the light is about to turn green, so coasts on through the light. Guy behind me notices the same thing... but misses the part where I'm stopped in front of him.
So I see him about to hit me... and then I look back right after he hits me... and realize that he's reversing and then driving speedily away. I attempt to chase after him, and instead just start repeating his license number over and over again outloud, as I dial 911.
operator: 911 whats your emergency?
me: *repeats license loudly* JUST F-ING RAN INTO ME AND THEN DROVE OFF!! WHO DOES THAT SH*T?????
Thats right, I asked the operator "Who does that sh*t??"
Lucky for me, on top of me giving the license plate, some do-gooder followed the jerkoff, so he was apprehended before the police even got to me.
I hope that punk spent the night in jail.

I must be crazy
I am a hypocrite. I tell people constantly that it's all in their heads that they look bad in pictures. Because really, it is all in your head. However, I can't take my own advice, and hate all images of myself. So I figured the extreme close-up of myself would be a little hard on me.
But this is me - no photoshop liposuction, no blemish removal, no major enhancements. Just me.
My favorite shot, though, has to be the one I captured while carrying the camera still attached to the tripod back into the house. Yeah I know I'm weird.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!
So I think I have an unhealthy obsession with closeup portraits. I love looking at shots other photographers have done that close, and have recently been getting closer and closer to my subjects (I'm sure you've noticed) So I kinda had the goal in mind going over to my parents house, of getting a close shot of Dad. I knew he wouldn't be for it, so I couldn't tell him.
Though I have to say, I love the second click I got...
He's basically saying to me "Jesus Christ Heather, do you have to be so close!!?!??!"
Yes Dad, I do :)
Obviously Haley has no issue with the lens being close to her face
a whole lot of Claire
The girl who had no lovey, and then adopted a blanket, now has a blanket, kitty, foofa, and doggie. *sigh*

We went to two birthday parties on Saturday (Happy Birthday Ryan and Pepa!) and by the end of it, Claire was cooked!
50 years together
Mema and Pa have been married 50 years!! We had a little mini session on the fourth of July so they could have a photo for the paper, and I made them an invite to the get-together they're having. I'm pretty please how it turned out!
We made minor changes to the back of the card, but overall this was the look. Congrats to them!!
Found the problem
So after some digging and searching, I found the two (!) issues. First one being I had counted June 25th as two days (#176 now.) I must have not realized while I was editting that I was working on two pictures from the same day, and not different days. The second issue was I just completely skipped over a day. Well technically I skipped over two days, but it went unnoticed due to the picture on June 25th being counted twice.
I did, however, take photos on the days that were skipped. I just skipped over them once they were on my computer. So here's a retrospect...
These printing blocks have been hanging in my house since I finished that printing class, but I finally got around to framing the actual print made from the blocks. Love it!
170 of 365: Late Night with Heather
Hey proof that this photo was actually taken on June 19th! But anyways, I stayed up way later then I should have, and decided to document it.
So, any images that were listed after 170 on here should actually be numbered 2 higher then it is. I'm not going back and changing it here (though I did on my flickr, if you follow me through there it's correct.) I'm just glad thats done!

just a little bit of everything
Since it's late at night, and in the interest of going to bed, at the moment I'm going to make an unorganized mess of an entry. Sorry in advance!!
We finally got around to buying Olivia's big girl bed. We didn't build it the day we got it (we started to, but one of the boards was cracked down the center, and by the time Tim and his dad got back with the crack-free bed, I really needed to lay down before work.) The girls enjoyed frolicing on the box in daddy's shoes.
196 of 365: cow eyes
I used to read a lot of books. I have shelves full of them in my basement... all mostly young adult lit stuff that I read in high school - but I still love them and read them often. There's a book titled "Alice" (I forget the author, and Tims sleeping, making it rude to go in our room to find the book) but in the book, Alice is described by one girl as having big doe eyes. The brother in the book teases that Alice actually has cow eyes. I think Olivia has cow eyes.
197 of 365: No more monkeys...
I think all the bathroom time we've had lately is making me a little loopy.
198 of 365: that inbetween state
So our old computer is hooked up in our kitchen. Eventually it'll get moved to the basement for storage until we can use it again for just internet purposes. We can't do that now, though, because I'm still editting a wedding on it, and I just fear it'll be a pain to transfer it over to the new computer (which is a bummer, because the new computer is awesome) I'm hoping to get it all wrapped up tomorrow though.
199 of 365: I'm a big girl now!
We built the big girl bed, thinking Olivia would ignore it like she did the mattresses that have been in her room for ages. We were so wrong. We built the bed, and she climbed in and stayed there for hours. Even requested lunch in bed (thats when she came down... because there was not going to be lunch in bed)
200 of 365: she cooks
Must have been the most exciting part of my day
201 of 365: whats that now
Olivia likes her bed. A lot. She goes there all the time. For some reason, Tim wanted a nap there too. I took a ton of photos of them... these are my three favs (first being 201)
She really loves that bed.
PHEW! That was a whirlwind!! Be prepared for more later!!

Lifes a Beach...
Where do I even start? Well we had to explain to Haley that we live in Ohio, a land locked state, and that when we say beach, we don't mean the ocean. We went to Deleware Lake, which is just more of Alum Creek, just further north then the majority of Central Ohio goes to. It was deserted! I don't know if that had more to do with it being Deleware Lake, or it being Monday morning, but we were all about it.
Haley and I spent most of the time swimming in deeper water. We would periodically come up to 'shore' to play with the girls, who were happily digging away in the sand. I was shocked they were ok with the water, let alone in it (these girls act like you're throwing boiling water over their heads when they bathe) but both girls were just thrilled to play in the water. Heck, Olivia is still a week later talking about the beach!
Whenever Haley would come up shore, she would play this kissing game with Olivia. Man those two love the heck out of each other.
Just look at that clear blue water... mmmmm hmmmmmm... nice
I know I have major mommy goggles on here, but I love how Olivia's hair looked when she got out of the water
Claire got into this routine of grabbing sand from the higher area of the beach, bringing it in fistfuls down to the waters edge and throwing it into the lake. Over. And over. And over again. Aunt Sue insisted that while it may be a big task, she felt that Claire was up for the challenge.
My fav image of the day
193 of 365: happiness
I've decided that that location would be amazing for some family photos, so if you're reading this thinking "Man I'd love some photos there" shoot me an email! I tried at the end of the day to take some images of the girls on the beach in dresses... so much went wrong... mainly being that I waited until the end. I should have done it right off the bat, when they were fresh and cooperative and not hyped on sugar and sun. But we'll try it again some time soon.
Shortly after getting home, I realized one terrible mistake that I made on that day. I sunscreened the heck out of the girls... both before we even left, and then right as we got to the beach. I put sunscreen all over the front of my body, but in my haste to catch up to the girls (who were already bee-lining it to the water) I ignored my back. And got the worst sunburn in my adult life.
