marching for babies

So I did in fact March for Babies on Sunday. I want to say there were 13 of us from my area at FedEx walking. It was a beautiful day... really sunny (ugh I hate photographing in full sun) and really hot! That lukewarm water along the route, though, was quite thirst-quenching. So here's some random photos from the ordeal... Rhonda, if you read this (not sure if you will) I have unwatermarked ones for you to use in our newsletter ;)

If I don't pick the other one for my 365, I'm picking this one... it epitomizes the boys I work with

and I actually allowed Twigg and Jason to use my camera a few times... as proof I was there as well :)

There's more photos I'll probably end up sharing some off from GameWorks afterwards, so you haven't seen the last of these guys I work with. And thank you everyone who supported me! I ended up raising $135, which I think is fantastic! I think I'll find out tonight at work how much our whole area made as a whole... and I think we did good. YAY for Babies!

All about Claire

I swear I'm not ignoring Olivia... she's just almost 3, and frankly a little trying, so I haven't been... inspired... by her lately. But Claire man, she's just hammin it up for the camera lately!

So on Thursday, while Claire was eating lunch, I pulled out the camera to take some photos of her. I felt like it had been far too long since I took real portrait photos, and I wanted to get back in the swing of it. Claire at first was uninterested in what I was doing, but then started throwing her head back and "eeeeee"ing at me. After her doing it a couple times, I realized she was actually saying "cheese." Adorable and hilarious at the same time. What made it funnier was her mouth was just stuffed with chicken nuggets, and she was just spraying all over the place. I seriously laughed out loud even while editting these photos! I couldn't pick one or two or even three to show... so you're getting just about all of them here.

Well then on Friday, Claire took a bad turn. We think she might finally be teething again. But she was just a poor lumpy baby for a while... until we got some popsicles in her.

Tims mom had been predicting for a while that Claire would fall asleep on her rocking horse. She loves that thing, and really does kinda treat it like it's a swing. Well Tim was rocking her, and waved me over when he realized she was sleeping. So yep Carolyn, you were right.

And with that, I'm finally caught up on the 365 project! Yay! Hopefully I can try to keep it updated more often ;)

and after rain comes...

dandelions! And lots and lots of them!!!

112 of 365: Its only a weed if you say so

if only we could will them to win

The Columbus Blue Jackets made the play-offs for the first time ever this year. We've already lost our bracket... for those not in the know. Tuesday was the first home game, and just about every member of my husbands family went to the game. They're huge hockey fans. I can honestly say I knew nothing about hockey prior to meeting my husband, and now I know enough to yell at games (pretty good, huh.) Of course I took a zillion photos... here's just a few.

Tim before the game... he threw my hat on his head. He was complaining that he didn't have a hat with a bill, since it was raining.

The center (I took this more for Olivia then anyone else... she loves the Jackets logo man)

we were actually backwards from the logo, so this is an actual shot from our seats. See, it says play-offs right there on the ice!

Tims mom just loves Tyler Wright (he played on the Jackets their first season) and apparently he was in a booth. They tell me this is him.

Stinger, the mascot, skated around with a shirt cannon before the game... Danny actually caught one (he gave it to me, since it practically came in a childs size)

So, we pretty much knew we wouldn't win. We're just frankly not that good of a team. But we were hoping that the Jackets would put up a fight. It was very apparent by the second period that we just weren't going to. The boys... well... they were mad

I think Brenton wanted us to do well more then anyone else, and his face at the end of the game was just heartbreaking. So sad Brenton made my 365.

a boring 365 catchup

Mostly repeats from the studio... but we're getting closer to caught up!! Not quite there yet.

the studio up til now

So the studio... is not done. But it is close. Unfortunatly there's no floor, so it doesn't even look all that close... but I'm told it's not going to take too much longer from here to finish it. Though now it is no longer spring break, and scheduling a busy junior with a busy working mom is atrocious. >.< But it will get done....

Friday... again
day of painting. And painting. And painting. That weekend, I painted the hallway Olivia drew all over, all the crown molding and the chair rail for the studio, and both colored wall areas of the studio. I got so close to done by Saturday... but not quite.

I also decided to dye a backdrop, and it was drying on Friday outside. What I've learned from dying a 15 foot backdrop? It's worth it to just buy it done. :)

Sunday
Jeremy came over... and I still wasn't done painting! But he helped me sand the last bad areas on the walls, and paint up the last bit. We also went and bought the flooring... which turned out had to aclimate to my climate for three days. Who knew that!? So that's officially what slowed us down.

It's a long process... but I'm just loving how it's turning out. And I can't wait for it to be done!!!

he renovates AND plays sports

So I couldn't make my studio in the basement without Jeremy's help. He had a soccer game on my end of town, that just happened to be the same night as the first play-off game for the Blue Jackets. I was concerned he wouldn't have anyone watching his game (since they'd want to watch the hockey)... and I always love an excuse to take photos, so I decided to watch him play. And I think not knowing much about soccer... kinda hurt LOL! I was never really sure what was going on. And on the technical end, my color is all over the place... I think the setting sun had something to do with that. So here's some shots I got that I liked, for no reason other then I liked them :)

Jeremy's the goalie... thankfully... because I would have had a hard time picking him out otherwise!

Boys dribbling..

I think our team was on the attack (we're blue)
110

Okay, Jeremy kicking the ball was my favorite part, because he jumps! According to him, he kicks with so much force, that trying to stop his foot after the kicking the ball actually hurts him. So instead of trying to stop, he just jumps, to let the momentum die out naturally. He's so tall, that he jumps way high! And I think at this point, we all know how much I love jumping shots ;)
